About This Spot
Stepping into Tokyo Cafe, you find yourself embraced by an inviting, unhurried energy—a neighborhood haven where thoughtful conversation flows as easily as the shared plates. The space carries a warmth that feels both fresh and familiar, a careful balance between the comfort of a local favorite and the stylish touches of a modern dining room. There’s an understated charm here, where respectful attention from the staff blends with a relaxed atmosphere that encourages lingering over moments, not just meals.
The pace is gentle but attentive, making it an ideal spot for everything from a quiet solo meal to a casual gathering with friends or family. The subtle hum of conversation and the soft clinks of plates set a tone that’s neither rushed nor stagnant—simply a place to savor time and flavor.
Tokyo Cafe’s menu is a journey through Japanese-inspired flavors with thoughtful nods to contemporary creativity. It’s in the way the Tok Fries arrive, crispy and moreish, inviting you to share, or how the Bao Buns carry their delicate fillings like little treasures. Each sushi roll is crafted with a care that encourages discovering fresh taste notes, from comforting rice bowls crowned with tender beef to vibrant, playful combinations that spark curiosity with each bite. The experience is rounded out by house-crafted cocktails—brisk and unexpected—pulling you softly out of routine.
This is a place where desserts feel like thoughtful endings rather than afterthoughts—light, balanced, and quietly memorable, inviting a gentle pause to end your meal. Whether you find yourself drawn to the familiar or eager to try something new, Tokyo Cafe offers moments defined by the simple pleasure of genuine hospitality and thoughtful craft, all wrapped in the comforting embrace of a genuine local gem.

The food is really good. The only thing didn’t wow me is the friend rice. It’s very blend. Our favorites are Hama Chili, Bao Buns, and TOKYOkomomiyaki. They are so tasty. If you eat raw fish, Hama Chili is a must for you. We usually don’t get dessert after meal but you MUST try their Miso Cake and Crepe cake. They aren’t too sweet or greasy. Perfect dessert. We’re coffee lovers and the coffee ice cream is the best coffee flavor ice cream I have ever had. Our waitress Karla is really sweet. She always made sure we got everything and refilled the drinks. The restaurant is very cute and clean. We’ll definitely come back again.

Highly recommend this place! Hama Chili was my favorite! Beef bowl with poached egg was awesome. Fries were a 10/10. Ohhh and let's not forget the heated toilet seats in the bathroom!!! Pleasant surprise

Great Building and Atmosphere. The our wait staff was super friendly and the Tok Fries were really good! The Crunchy Rolls were good. The Smoked Salmon Nigiri's flavor was very sublte, almost hard to taste honestly.

Picked up a huge to-go order last night from Tokyo Cafe last night for a birthday dinner. Order was 16 items, 13 different items. We were given about an hour estimate via online ordering and it was very accurate. We showed up a few minutes before our ETA. I asked the manager to double check the order due to the size and he graciously instructed the kitchen to double check. All of our hot food were in one bag and the cold in another bag, which was a great touch and shows attention to small details. Our order was complete, hot & cold as intended and delicious. There were plenty of utensils and condiments (soy, wasabi, etc.) included. This was probably the largest online order I have ever placed and was very impressed that it was well executed and delicious (as usual). Great job!

Very good fish and chips! The slightly sweet, slightly spicy french fries were a surprise. I love my veggies so I ordered a green salad as well as their brussel sprouts which came tempura style. The tempura batter got me full quicker than I expected. The fish was hot and fresh. The ambiance was casual and inviting. Cool upbeat pop/EMD? music. I prefer my venue background music to be a little lower but it wasn't bad. The staff and servers were all pleasant and the whole place had a nice positive vibe to it. The perfect meal to compliment a day of running around town. I love the fact that they put kale in their salad. But I wish they would marinate it in the oil before adding it with the romaine. This makes it easier to chew and digest. I made this suggestion to the staff to pass on to the chef. That was the one star point I took away from the food. Otherwise everything was excellent The architectur, design, and decor inside has a nice Eastern feel to it without being stereotypical or cheesy

Overall, pretty tasty, but some things lacked salt and depth of flavor. Although, their chili oil/vinegar brought a ton of flavor to my Yakisoba. The portions were small(er), but the staff were amazingly kind and attentive. I only come about once a year, but always leave satisfied.
